Bloomington, IN’s BEAD district has secrets: delightful eateries, small shops full of treasures, and miniature cities. Studio Cypher has teamed up with Lotus Festival to create a path through downtown Bloomington’s rarely seen treasures.
Grab the tour from the visitor’s center in theBuskirk Chumley or print your own copy and get ready to see a side of Bloomington you’ve never seen before! This tour takes about an hour with about two miles of leisurely walking.

Coming to Lotus Festival? Looking for something exciting to do before the music starts? Studio Cypher will run a special competitive version of cARTography to during the Lotus Festival weekend Sept 17-18. Teams of 1-3 people will travel through BEAD solving puzzles, searching for clues, and discovering even more of Bloomington’s secrets to earn points. The team with the most points will get a special prize at the end, and the first 350 participants to get any points will get a bag full of goodies and secrets for their enjoyment!
You can sign up for this amazing experience during the Lotus Fest store hours (7pm-12:30am Friday at festival HQ on Kirkwood Ave, 1-5pm Saturday at Lotus in the 3rd Street Park, 7-10:30pm Saturday at festival HQ) for $5 per team or pre-register here starting August 2nd for 10% off!
